Over the years, I have used many training companies to deliver course material with varied results. Last year, I engaged the services of Matt Hudson Consultancy to work with me to create specific development programs for all levels of management within my company. The modules were tailored to address key areas of development in individuals and groups of managers. Measures of success were agreed upon before commencing the programs and agreed milestones would be used to monitor progress.
The results of the development programs have been staggering. I have cut out almost all attrition at management level. I say almost, because in the process of identifying the right people for the right roles within the organization, we also identified one or two managers who clearly would not have lasted in the organisation.
Other measures of success have been the team’s ability to communicate effectively amongst each other, with their peers, colleagues and probably most importantly, towards the client. Confidence within the teams has also improved significantly.
